After an incredibly blessed childhood following my worldly parents from country to country, the extreme joys of traveling set in deep.
New York called me from London soon after establishing a career in photography. I happily shot beauty and lifestyle for magazines, each shoot a little exploration in itself, while sneaking off regularly on larger journeys. Solo traveling came easy to me, and with my camera I always feel fearless and euphoric walking into different cultures and lives, reveling in the kindness of strangers, capturing spontaneous moments and embracing anything that lets me close.
Now happily married and living in Sarasota, Florida, running a flourishing mid-century themed guest house - Lido Beach House - as well as Wood Street Studio with my woodworker/surfer husband, Dale Rieke. We save trees from the dump, host people from all over the world, take on way too many projects and steal away whenever we can in search of waves.
My two passions – photography and travel – allow me to live in the moment and these photos are a product of doing just that. Thank you for sharing it with me and I hope it leaves you feeling good.
